Best episode since #1! Except it was missing a bedroom scene. You guys are gonna do great at Sundance this year.
I will never look at a gummi bear the same way again. This is great stuff.
[...] The Variants, the original Web series shot at Zeus Comics on Lemmon Avenue, has posted its second 8-minute episode, “Dead Man’s Comics,” wherein some vintage pulp gets hauled into the store and Barry quits smoking. It’s pretty funny. Check it out here. [...]
loved it! can’t wait for the next one!
In Kurt We Trust! Great stuff!
That was fun. Love the Jim Jordan cameo.
“Big Trouble in Little China” still has not gotten its due! The guy with the really, really long, creepy nails is a memorable villian who doesn’t get the respect he deserves.
The Variants appears to be an excellent vehicle for exploring these types of issues and forces those of us who love and collect comics to pause and think about what we are doing with our lives and our money. Just who will pay to plant me when Marvel emds my run?
Bring on No. 3!
Tango ‘n Cash, bitches!
Good times,
I am enjoying it. The guy playing Care Bare is quite an actor. He steals the show. And the Mariah Carey fan with the lunch box was hilarious!!!
Love the quick cuts. And lets hope that the Stock Room guy’s name is a riff off of Ghost Rider from GI Joe. Because most things should be a riff off of that, but frequently aren’t.
